Description

The librarian provides accessible tools for students and staff that direct, enhance and support the learning process.  Housed in the school library, the librarian creates an environment where collaboration, innovation, and creative problem solving thrive.  The librarian is knowledgeable about curricular areas and serves the interdisciplinary needs of the school.  The librarian works in a flexible environment, collaborating with staff, teaching skills to students and staff, maintaining the holdings of the library, and managing the Maker Space.

Qualifications

– Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) appropriate to assignment, required
– Requires a Library Information Specialist, Computer Applications, and/or Computer Science endorsement or equivalent background
