Codes oral history transcripts in XML and HTML and uploads to server. Can be trained. Enters information in databases and maintains databases. Performs office tasks as needed, such as editing in the form of entering interviewee’s corrections, proofreading documents, verifying proper nouns, creating finding aids, maintaining correspondence files, including sending letters, and other tasks as determined.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge of markup languages (e.g., XML, HTML, etc.) preferred. Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word processing programs required. Ability to comprehend and use databases required. Ability to type quickly and accurately required. Ability to work independently and complete highly detailed tasks accurately and in a timely manner required.
