Teaching & Outreach Librarian, Claremont Colleges

The Teaching & Outreach Librarian focuses on supporting the library’s successful First Year Information Literacy Program and the Common Core Curriculum of the five distinguished undergraduate liberal arts colleges within The Claremont Colleges. This position provides research, teaching, and learning support for first-year, second-year, and transfer students, and is heavily involved in outreach and orientation efforts aimed at the undergraduate campuses. This position will also work closely with Subject Librarians who focus on supporting the research, teaching, and learning needs of upper level undergraduate and graduate students. The incumbent will teach introductory course-integrated information literacy sessions (including teaching digital and scholarly communication literacies); provide general and subject specific research consultations; and conduct general outreach to students and faculty at the five undergraduate colleges. The Teaching & Outreach Librarian will participate on various library, college, and intercollegiate committees. This position reports to the Undergraduate Engagement Team Leader, in the Research, Teaching, and Learning Services division.

Online Learning Librarian, Sonoma State

The Sonoma State University Library is seeking an Online Learning librarian to join our team! This new, 12-month tenure-track position will provide leadership and direct the creation, implementation, and assessment of online learning services and programs that support the Library in reference, instruction, and outreach, as well as University goals for student success.

This position provides opportunities for a librarian to work collaboratively with units in the Library and on campus to build, position, and assess digital learning and assume academic departmental liaison responsibilities that include collection development, information literacy instruction and outreach, and working with fellow faculty to advance the Library’s strategic priorities and engage the Library in the life of the University.
