This job in a busy high school library serving approximately 1,300 students includes working together as a team with two other librarians, supporting students and teachers, and co-teaching with classroom teachers. • work with a team to study, analyze, and disseminate important student engagement data.
  • demonstrate success at teaching and being an instructional partner, including with sustained, embedded units in classrooms.
  • integrate information literacy skills throughout all areas of the curriculum.
  • have rapport with and respect for high-school-aged students.
  • show flexibility for working on a team and in a dynamic atmosphere, and have the ability to juggle many tasks at once.
  • co-lead book groups and other professional development for students and staff that center growth along the anti-bias and antiracist continuums.
  • be comfortable with eBooks, audiobooks, online databases, digital tools, and apps for education.
  • support the continued hosting and advising of student clubs, including the Gender Sexuality Alliance, our chapter of Project LIT Community, and the Racial Alliance Committee.
  • learn new resources and develop expertise in the application of these resources.
  • creatively promote resources to the whole school community and strive to provide equitable access.
