The Association for College & Research Libraries Rare Books & Manuscripts Section is pleased to present an eight-part virtual Jobs & Hiring Workshop Series. The series titled, “Jobs & Hiring Workshop Series,” is co-sponsored by the RBMS Membership & Professional Development Committee and the Workshops Committee.

The series will begin on Wednesday, February 17th, 2021 at 3pm ET/2pm CT/12pm PT with the “Online & On the Market: Social Media & Personal Branding while Job Hunting” sessionEach session in the series will be approximately one hour in length. All sessions will take place on Wednesdays at 3pm ET/2pm CT/12pm PT.

The overarching goal for this series is to connect individuals in galleries, libraries, archives, museums, and special collections (GLAMS) with other professionals who can share advice and experiences on different aspects of the job market and hiring practices in a variety of related professions. Sessions within the series will cover self-marketing, the hiring process from the perspective of both a job seeker and an employer, as well as career changes in the fields of special collections librarianship, the book trade, archives and museum libraries, book arts, and teaching. Sessions are open to all rare books, special collections, libraries, museums, galleries and archives professionals, students, volunteers, and interested parties. RBMS membership is not required to attend.
